Entertaiment News - The amazing Marina Lambrini Diamandis, better known by her stage name Marina and the Diamonds, performed for the first time on television her brand new single "Primadonna" earlier this week on Oliver Pocher's show on Joiz TV (Switzerland) - I had no idea Marina had a considerable fanbase there (otherwise promoting your music on TV in such small country would be pointless)...oh, well, you learn something new everyday I guess! The flawless Welsh singer took the Joiz TV stage on Friday (March 16th) looking all cute in a pink dress, and matching hair bow, to slay viewers with the debut TV performance of "Primadonna", the lead single from Marina's forthcoming sophomore album "Electra Heart", in stores on April 30th. Marina hit the stage for a second time later on to sing her buzz single "Starring Role". Both acoutic performances were stunning! "Primadonna" works so well live, and Marina sings it wonderfully! BTW, I've had her new single on repeat ever since it premiered last week. It's SO hooottt!! *prays it smashes*

Lana del Rey - Blue Jeans (Music Video)

Entertaiment News - Watch the stunning music video Lana del Rey has premeired for "Blue Jeans", the official third single from her critically-acclaimed debut album "Born to Die" (released in January 2012 via Interscope Records) - Love the new single choice, but isn't it a bit risky?. I mean, "Blue Jeans" was a b-side track on Lana's "Video Games" CD single, so in a way "Blue Jeans" has been 'out' for a long time now.

Either way, the song is a fan-favourite and at least me is hooked on it again after watching the AMAZING music video Lana, alongside director Yoann Lemoine, have created for "Blue Jeans". In the black and white visual, Lana's seen wearing only a white one-piece bathing suit, floating in a swimming pool filled with alligators before she make sout with her tattooed 'love interest' played by New York model Bradley Soileau. And yes, that's the same guy from the "Born to Die" vid. And since Lana died in that video, I'm guessing this newly-premiered effort serves as a prequel.

Demi Lovato and Daughtry Perform On Idol

Entertaiment News - FOX's 'American Idol' saw last night (March 15th) one Disney star, and one of its alumni perform on stage at this week's results show - First to hit the stage was pop singer Demi Lovato who delivered a rockin' and emotional performance of her latest "Unbroken" single, the uptempo pop and dance ballad 'Give Your Heart A Break'. Demi sang it good, and for this 'Idol' appearance decided to keep it casual just wearing a t-shirt, leggins, and black leather jacket. Next on stage was rock band Daughtry, led by American Idol season 5 finalist Chris Daughtry. The band performed there for the first time of TV their new single 'Out of My Head', lifted from the November 2011-released album 'Break the Spell'. Check it out!

Entertaiment News - Great performance, but please enough of wearing those Power Ranger outfits, Katy! The American pop star arrived in London this week to prepare the UK television debut of her new single "Part of Me", lifted from the 'Teenage Dream: The Complete Confection' re-release disc, due in stores worldwide later in March 2012. Katy performed the Dr. Luke-produced SMASH on the grand finale of BBC 1's charity-show 'Let's Dance for Sport Relief' on Saturday night (March 17th). The performance was really good, very energetic (it looks like Katy's feeling 'stronger', on stage atleast, after the divorce), and she was simply 'feeling' every bit of the song that night. Flawless adlibs btw, lol. That blue hair looks good on her too. Anyways, check out Katy's lasers-filled performance above. "Part of Me" is officially released TODAY (physical copy out tomorrow, Monday) in the UK, so Brits go get it! and give Queen Katy a new #1 hit there.

Ms Swift kicked things off in Australia in the first days of March visiting cities like Sydney or Melbourne, to then conclude the tour in Auckland, NZ performing the last three dates there. It seems Taylor has found a special connection with her Auckland fans 'cause she's given them a sweet lil' gift, the live debut of "Eyes Open". This is Taylor's second song, after "Safe and Sound" (feat. The Civil Wars), from "The Hunger Games" soundtrack, out in the US and UK next week. Taylor ROCKED it. Check out Ashanti's sci-fi inspired music video for "The Woman You Love" which world premiere last night (March 13th) simultaneously on BET's '106th & Park' and VEVO - Directed by the songbird with Sean Coles, the visual takes a futuristic approach with Ms Ashanti being a time traveler who is seeking refuge from her broken heart. She floats into the future while recalling her doomed relationship with a boyfriend (played by actor Marcus Patrick) and learning that "the only way to heal is to accept and let go of the past". Will she be able to leave the past behind and move on though? Find out above. There were good special effects in the video, but I don't know, it was a really weird concept for an R&B song. "The Woman You Love" is the first single from Ashanti's fifth album "Braveheart", due this spring on her label Written Entertainment. Support the single on iTunes! It's a hot lil' record!

Cover Drive - 'Sparks' (Music Video!)

Rising Barbados-based pop group Cover Drive - consisting of members Amanda Reifer, T-Ray Armstrong, Barry 'Bar-Man' Hill and Jamar Harding - who got off to a good start in the summer of 2011, and continued the 'sucess' streak in early 2012 making their two first singles "Lick Ya Down" and "Twilight" peak within the Top 10 in the UK ("Twilight" reached #1) is now readying single number three. Another Quiz & Larossi-produced cut I suppose called "Sparks". They're toning the tempo down just a notch with the new release. "Sparks" is a nostalgic, and catchy mid-tempo whose lyrics revolve around the idea of member Amanda Reifer running into her 'love interest' (again) at the club and she's caressing him with lyrics like "You ignite all the colours inside my heart". It might not be your typical Cover Drive party-ready song, but "Sparks" has definitely all the ingredients for radio success.

Cover Drive world premiered the video for "Sparks" On Friday, March 16th, 2012 on VEVO. Watch the Los Angeles-bases clip above. Mmmmm, I don't get it, the video has nothing to do with the lyrics. Amanda looks flawless though. The visual sees the band chilling out on a beach together in Los Angeles and performing live before driving around in an open top jeep. OK...Enjoy!

Entertaiment News - German dance act Cascada, led by the always enthusiastic and hottie Natalie Horler, have unveiled the video for "Summer of Love", the first single from the group's new album coming out later in 2012 via Zooland Records - The party-ready, and pop anthem "Summer of Love" - produced by band members Manuel Reuter and Yann Peifer - sees the group sticking to their roots with its infectious hook and euphoric dance beat. The new single will be released internationally on iTunes next March 30th.

Everything's happening so fast! I mean, "Summer of Love" premiered online only last week, and last week too Natalie Horler was spotted in Spain filming the music video for the song, which has world premiered TODAY, March 16th. Watch above! The summery visual, filmed in Playa de las Teresitas beach in Tenerife, Canary Islands (Spain), opens with a sexy Natalie Horler singing the first chorus of "Summer of Love" on top of a mountain with a breath-taking landscape of the sea on the back. Nat then gets on a convertible and gets a ride to the beach where the fun festivities will start. There's lot of sunbathing, drinking, capoeira, etc. The vid ends with a dancing battle around a bonfire at night.

Entertaiment News - Electro-pop singer Dev is a featured guest in Timbaland's allegedly new single "Break Ya Back", which premiered on the famed producer's hometown radio station Z104 in Norfolk, Virginia on Friday (March 16th) - The bass-heavy track will most likely serve as the second single, and follow-up to the Pitbull-assisted 'Pass at Me', from Timbaland's hotly-anticipated "Shock Value III" album, in stores later in 2012.




Well, oh well, what do we have here?...Although my respect for Timb' for being of the greatest hip-hop and R&B producers of the last two decades is still intact, I think we have to be honest and say he's kind of losing his touch. His latest efforts have been really disappointing and although this new track with Dev, "Break Ya Back", ain't bad at all, it's not what we - long time stans of Timbaland's music - would've expected as his new official single. "Break Ya Back" is grungy, '90s-feeling, it has such an eerie but playful vibe, it's semi-enjoyable but as a whole, it's not really single material. Album filler yes. Timbo should waste no more time, and ring Nelly Furtado to do a new banger collaboration. The new queen of rap now “owns pink,” according to hairstylist Terrence Davidson, who works with the ‘Super Bass’ singer on her wigs. She is a vision in a cotton candy beehive concoction, lavender lips, a pastel blue top and bright purple gloves. She looks like an Easter basket come to life. While many women avoid color and stick to safer, more neutral palettes, Minaj embraces the brighter side of life.

The inside spread features Minaj in shades of pink and orange, working it like only she can.

The wig lover spoke about her relationship with her locks, which date back to when she was just 9 years old. “I was doing every — and anything to it — putting in wads of gel and brushing it to the next century, and just thinking I was so cute,” she said. “I always thought I had an eye for that stuff.”

She also believed that hair lets you reinvent yourself, a philosophy she has carried with her to this day. Minaj hardly ever repeats her follicular adventures, keeping us guessing time and time again. “I had done something I thought was really, really, really cute, and I showed my neighbor,” she recalled. “She was like, ‘Why’d you do that to your hair?’ And I never forget what I said: ‘I’m someone new in this hair.’”

Entertaiment News - This time next week, "Hunger Games" devotees will be lining up at their local multiplexes, ready to watch the blockbuster Suzanne Collins novel come to life on the silver screen. In anticipation of the Mar. 23 release of "The Hunger Games" film (and its soundtrack, which comes out on Mar. 20), "Eyes Open," a new Taylor Swift song from the film, has leaked online, and immediately recalls the trials and tribulations of the series' heroine, Katniss Everdeen.

Existing more in the modern rock vein than her usual country-pop oeuvre, "Eyes Open" finds Swift living her own Hunger Games, clinging to survival as she defies the odds of those watching her struggle. "Everybody's waiting for you to break down/Everybody's watching to see the fallout/Even when you're sleeping, keep your eyes open," she sings on the chorus.

Listen to Video Nas' newest single The Don feat late singer Heavy D

Featuring late hip-hop icon Heavy D, Nas' latest single titled "The Don" has surfaced online on the blog for Hot 97 DJ Funkmaster Flex. The track was co-produced by Salaam Remi and Da Internz and brings an old school vibe and some great Jamaican sounds, completed with nice lyrics: "Every tat means something, that's my word on my body/ I have to lean something with that Mossberg shotty / My n*ggas is ignant, put lead in your pigment/ Just cause y'all were mad at all the years I was getting it."

"Heavy D gave this beat to Salaam for me to rap on," Nas explains over a sputtering, snare drum-infested, boom-bap track, punctuated by a vocal loop from reggae icon Super Cat. The lyrics and delivery are aligned with the vintage Nas vibe delivered on "Nasty", the previous leak from the impending project. "The Don" could make it on his upcoming project Life is Good, due later 2012.

Lady GaGa tells Oprah she plans a total media blackout

Entertaiment News - The Pop Queen Lady GaGa, which recently hit the record of reaching over 20 million followers on Twitter, has reportedly revealed during a chat with tv talk-show queen Oprah Winfrey that she is planning to take a long hiatus from media. According to WENN, the "Born This Way" songstress said: "Other than this interview, Oprah, I do not intend to speak to anyone for a very long time. No press, no television, if my mum calls and says, 'Did you hear about it…' I shut it all off. I don't read a damn thing [the press write about me]."

The singer apparently claims she has nothing left to say to news sites and paparazzi. GaGa will apparently appear on Oprah Winfrey's eponymous US talk show, and will reveal to the host that following her appearance on the program, she'll remain out of the public eye for an unknown amount of time.

She went on to talk about NME's decision to award her with the "Most Pretentious Album Ever", saying: Oh the irony of winning "Most Pretentious Album Ever" from none other than NME. I might laugh forever + then return to narcissism. She also expressed her wish to become a mother: "I want kids, I want a soccer team and I want a husband." Asked if she was serious about it, she responded, "Yeah, yeah, I do. Well, you know, I'm being superfluous. I don't want to have one kid. I want to have a few." Still, she noted that it won't be happening anytime soon as saying, "I want to experience [being pregnant], [but] not yet."

Daniel Bedingfield debuts new single Rocks Off, new album due this year

Entertaiment News - Eight years after releasing "Second First Impression", the brother of Natasha Bedingfield, Daniel Bedingfield returns with fresh music. Daniel Bedingfield releases a comeback single called "Rocks Off" and recently he premiered its accompanying music video. Shot along a bunch of aggressive ladies, which strips him off clothes and gets kissed while singing "I see ya trying to get my socks off/ You just want to get your rocks off."

Daniel's new, self-released EP is due this month, with hopefully a lot more to come -- in 2007, after taking time off to recover from a brutal car accident, according to the New Zealand Herald which said he actually had three albums in the can.

Daniel never completely strayed away from music during his hiatus. He co-wrote song for David Archuleta and worked with Pixie Lott. For his own project, he has at least three albums ready for release. "Rocks Off" is expected to appear in his upcoming self-titled mini album, which is due later this year. The songstress appears on the screen after seven years out of the spotlight, and plays a wise therapist who assures Cole through counseling that he needs no worry everyone has their own flaws. The rapper is spitting his verses while sitting restless in his bedroom. "Analyzing the world/ Fantasizing about girls/ I'm handed diamonds and pearls/ And vandalizing her curvs/ Sweating her weave out/ Moans as she breathes out/ Remember when I used to be stressed over Duana/ Now a nig** only 15 is stressed over Rihannas/ I'm talking tens or better b*tches in Timbs and sweaters".

Nicki Minaj flaunts curves for promo

Entertaiment News - Nicki Minaj has been flaunting her curves in a pink bikini and bright green wig while shooting her new music promo Starships.

The 29-year-old singer recently admitted she has struggled to keep her weight in check but she did not shy from cameras as she rolled around in the sand in a tiny swimsuit.

The rapper took to her Twitter account to promote the new video as she wrapped up filming in Hawaii.

'And the Starships video is a wrap ladies & gents!!!!! Thank u Production!!!! This cake tastes like heaven!!!(sic),' she posted alongside a photo of a cake in celebration of the video.

Earlier she wrote on the social networking site about her arrival in Hawaii before production began. She revealed young fans had greeted her at the airport.

'The kids @ the airport were like: waikikiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiii!!!!! I bust out laughin (sic),' she said before later tweeting, 'Beautiful. Can't wait 2get on set. Dem male modelz iz poppinton #starshipsvideo (sic).'

The comments about her new video come after the star spoke out on her inability to keep in shape. She told Allure magazine this week she disliked exercise.

'I'm naturally petite, but I definitely struggle with keeping those extra pounds off,' she said.

'And I hate working out. I can't stand being on a treadmill. That mentally irks me. When I need to lose a few, I just cut out sugar and starch.'

The Your Love singer also said she wants to overtake Jay-Z as the major player in the hip-hop business. She has told the rapper she was going to conquer the industry.

'I never thought about music as just being the end-all, be-all. I always looked at it like a business, something that I could create an empire out of,' she said.

'I had a little conversation with Jay-Z at the Victoria's Secret fashion show. He said, 'Congratulations on all your success'. And I was like: 'Yeah, I'm coming for you. Grinderman - 'When My Baby Comes' SixToes remix video

Entertaiment News - Grinderman will release 'Grinderman 2 RMX' via Mute Records on March 26th.

The record is a collection of remixes, reinterpretations and collaborations based on songs from Grinderman's 2010 critically celebrated album 'Grinderman 2'.

One of the tracks, 'When My Baby Comes', has been remixed by the London based sextet SixToes and ahead of this album release, SixToes have unveiled an animated video to accompany their remix.

The video was animated by Julie Garrod who specialises in creating tactile, macabre and unsettling puppet stop motion animated films. Garrod has worked with SixToes in the past, back in 2009 she was commissioned to create 'Murderer' - a puppet stop motion which was used to accompany SixToes' performance at the Tabernacle in Notting Hill.

Alongside SixToes, 'Grinderman 2 RMX' also features re-workings from Cat's Eyes, UNKLE, Factory Floor, Josh Homme and Nick Zinner (Yeah Yeah Yeahs). The video for Nick Zinner's remix of 'Bellringer Blues' is available on here:

The Fray - Run For Your Life (Music Video!)

Entertaiment News - The Fray's Isaac Slade and the rest of the band get super nostalgic in the video for "Run For Your Life", the official second single from the American alternative rock band's third album "Scars & Stories" - I like the message behind the song, but "Run For Your Life" doesn't scream 'radio hit' to me, sorry. Is it really hard to compose another "How to Save a Life", or "You Found Me"?. The Fray were on a succesful 'first singles' streak until this "Scars & Stories" era. The first single "Heartbeat" just couldn't compare to its predecessors, above mentioned, and obviously flopped on the charts. Now The Fray is looking to get back on the 'right' path but I'm afraid "Run For Your Life" (and sadly none of the songs on "Scars & Stories") won't do anything. It's missing THAT SOMETHING both "How to Save a Life", or "You Found Me" has.

If I were The Fray I would consider re-releasing "Scars & Stories", giving it a 'real' first single. I know they can *prays*. Back on the newly-premiered "Run For Your Life" visual, it sees The Fray guys wandering through a lost desert, Isaac Slade singing the song, and a parallel story showing random people (kind of reflecting on their lives) running towards an unknown goal.
